2nd Set Subject Competition (2023/24) – Triptych
The second Set Subject Competition – a Triptych Print competition – was held on 15th Feb, judged by John Riley from Tyldesley, Manchester. John is a semi-retired freelance photographer who provided quite short, but entertaining comments on the entries. One particular theme was that he was looking at how the images fitted together and even small details like the alignment of the images is important. With a Triptych, a set of individually weaker but matching images is often better than a set of individually strong but unmatched images.
The top scoring images are listed below. The featured image for this competition is Houseproud by Clive McDonald which was John’s favourite on the night.
