1st Set Subject Competition (2019/20) – Nature

The 1st Set Subject competition of the season on the subject of Nature was held on 21st November and was judged by Peter Guy from Poulton Photographic Society, who is a Nature specialist. Peter took into account the subject matter and composition as well as technical details such as sharpness.  Just as for Landscapes, the lighting of Nature subjects can be important, and it is always a benefit if the image tells a story about the subject.

The featured image for this competition is Lion Cubs Suckling, Serengeti by Vince Draper, which scored 20pts in the PDI section.
