The 3rd Set Subject competition of the season on the theme of Film Titles was judged on 17th April by Nik Hilton (EFIAP/b DPAGB BPE5*) from Southport PS. Nik pointed out that the competition was a bit of fun, as it showed off people’s imagination in linking to the brief. Nevertheless, he mainly judged the images on their photographic merit.

The 2nd Open PDI competition of the season was judged on 23rd January by James Hardy (CPAGB, LRPS, AFIAP, Hon LCPU) from Chorley Photographic Society. With 90 images to get through it was quite a long night as James provided good comments on each image, including recommendations on cropping out unnecessary sky and foreground areas and not over-enlarging wildlife images
