2020 L&CPU Knock-Out Competition

The L&CPU Digital Knock Out was held on Saturday evening. This is a competition for new work, meaning that images entered into any previous L&CPU competition are not allowed. There was a large entry this year from 41 Clubs, compared to only 30 last year. As a consequence only 4 images per Club were used out of the 8 entered. Ken Ainscow’s Fading Away was knocked out in the 2nd round, Gordon Watson’s The Smoker in the 3rd, Carol Watson’s Vestrahorn and Stokksnes Beach in the 5th and Kuli Virdee’s Pearls in the 6th. This gave LSAPS 16 points and put us in joint 3rd place along with Warrington and Bury, an excellent result, up 3 places from last year. Poulton-le-Fylde were 2nd with 17 points and Chorley 1st with 20 points.
