2018 5-Way Battle

This year’s 5-Way Battle (a competition against 4 local clubs) was held at Bispham Community Centre on 10th Nov.  The competition was worn by Poulton, whilst LSAPS came a somewhat disappointing 4th place. However two of our images by Grant Douse and Sheila Giles scored a maximum 20 points.

The Pirates Of Penzance

On Monday 15th October, club members were invited to photograph Marton Operatic Society’s dress rehearsal of The Pirates Of Penzance which is being staged at the Lowther Pavilion in Lytham.  This was an excellent opportunity to practice some photography under the difficult conditions of stage lighting which present exposure and colour problems.  Plus we got to enjoy the performance for

2018 L&CPU Novice Cup

The 2018 L&CPU Novice Cup competition was held on 14th October at the L&CPU Big Day event.  This competition is only open to Club Members who have no accreditation (eg BPE, PAGB awards), and is intended to encourage club members to participate in competitions external to their own club. 1st Open Print Competition (2018/19)

Photoshow 2018 Public Votes

The annual Photoshow held by the club has now closed.  It was another successful exhibition with over 500 print and digital images on display  and over 800 people visiting across the two weeks. The Awarded images from the judging are now available to view at our Photoshow page, but the public also cast their votes, with 651 votes cast for 201

Duelling Scar by Ken Ainscow The results from the 2018 L&CPU Individual Competition are now available, and LSAPS scored some notable successes.
