My father was a keen amateur photographer, and that got me interested in photography. I also learned from him how to develop an eye for a picture. I pointed the camera at anything that interested me, but much of it was more record shots of places and events. My principal interest was aviation and still is to some extent. I joined the club in 2012 to expand my photographic horizons and techniques. I feel I’m a better photographer as a result. The judges don’t always agree though!
