Elaine Cook
Elaine’s love of photography began in 1995 whilst accompanying her daughter on her GCSE photo shoots. Her daughter dropped the subject once she passed her exams, but Elaine was hooked. Her first camera was a Minolta, and her medium of choice was Fuji Velvia 50 slide film. A trip to India and a new Nikon D3100 DSLR strengthened her passion for her hobby and, apart from a three-year break to write and publish a novel, she’s enjoyed working to improve her photography ever since. Coming to the decision that photography needn’t be a solitary hobby, Elaine joined LSAPS in 2022 and is enjoying learning new aspects of photography with her Nikon D750 and mixing with supportive and like-minded people.
