2023 Bob Robinson Trophy
The first L&CPU competition of the season, the “Bob Robinson Trophy” (formerly the Novice Cup), took place on Sunday 8th October. This competition is designed to promote competitions and distinctions to club members who generally do not participate in competitions and who do not hold any qualifications or accreditations (e.g. LRPS, CPAGB or BPE Crowns). This year the format of the competition was in the form of a digital knock out, with just a single Open section, judged by Nick Hilton from Southport PS.
The competition was won by Stalybridge with 34 points, whilst LSAPS came joint 7th on 29 points, out of 23 competing clubs. LSAPS results and images are shown below. Congratulations to Bill Breckenridge, whose Northern Goshawk made it to the 7th and final round.
