This year LSAPS qualified for the PAGB Inter-Club Print Championship – the first time in at least 12 years. The competition took place on 24th October at Harper Adams University near Telford, with 44 clubs participating. The format is that each club enters 12 prints in the Qualifying Round, then the top 8 clubs progress to the Final, where 15 prints are required, whilst the remaining clubs enter the Plate competition, where 8 prints are required. In each round, there are requirements on the number of Colour and Mono prints, a limit on the number of Nature prints, and a limit on the number of prints that can be re-used from the Qualification Round.

The featured image for the competition is Jamnik Church In The Falling Snow by Carol Watson, which scored the maximum 15pts in both competitions.

Plate and Final Competitions

In the Plate Competition, only 4 prints can be re-used from the Qualifying Round. The 4 top scoring prints from the Qualifying Round were therefore re-entered, together with 4 new prints. LSAPS finished in equal 14th Place on 103pts, which meant we had dropped back slightly from the Qualifying Round, but still a respectable performance.

The Winners of the Final Competition were Arden Photo Group with 210pts, whilst local North-West clubs Chorley PS and Southport PS tied in equal 2nd place on 208pts. The winners of the Plate competition were Evolve Group and Tynemouth Photographic Society, who tied on 109pts.
